ঢাবির সেই ভারপ্রাপ্ত রেজিস্ট্রার চাকরিচ্যুত
ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (ঢাবি) দিবসের স্মরণিকায় প্রয়াত রাষ্ট্রপতি জিয়াউর রহমানকে বাংলাদেশের ‘প্রথম রাষ্ট্রপতি’ লেখায় ওই প্রকাশনার দায়িত্বে থাকা সাবেক ভারপ্রাপ্ত রেজিস্ট্রার সৈয়দ রেজাউর রহমানকে চাকরিচ্যুত করা হয়েছে। আজ সোমবার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সিন্ডিকেট সভায় এ সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে।

সভাপতি ছাড়াই চলছে ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (ইবি) অর্থনীতি বিভাগ। অধ্যাপক ড. আবদুল মুঈদ সভাপতি পদ থেকে পদত্যাগপত্র জমা দেওয়ার পর প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে কোনো জবাব না এলেও তাঁর দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন না বলে জানা গেছে। ফলে বিভাগের ক্লাস ও অফিস কার্যক্রমে চরম স্থবিরতা দেখা দিয়েছে।
